2017 Inferno Signings-Round 1

Lancaster Inferno announces the first round of player signings for their 2017 Season in the United Women’s Soccer (UWS) league. 

Eight players re-sign with the Inferno, including; Alexandra Plantive (France U20 WNT), Ashley Chilcoat (La Salle), Bailey Corbin (Nova SE), Kara Weller (Elizabethtown), Siobhan Bross (St. Francis), Tracy Mohl (York), Trisha Clark (Elizabethtown), and Victoria Kramer (Millersville).

“We are very excited as we enter our second season in the United Women’s Soccer (UWS) league, “said Francisco Cleaves , Inferno owner, “with eight returning players and the addition of our 2017 signees we should be competing for the Eastern conference title.”
 
New players to the team include Brooke Myers (WVU), Emilie Kupsov (Longwood), Jordan Kamp (St. John’s), Kelly O’Brien (Lafayette), Megan Carroll (Bloomsburg), and Moira Petrie (UB).

High School senior standouts Aubrey Suydam (Manheim Township) and Maddie Schwartz (Hempfield) also sign with the Inferno. Suydam plays for LDC United and will attend Saint Francis University. Schwartz is a member of Penn Legacy FC and will attend McDaniel College.

Alexandra Plantive

French player, Alexandra Plantive, re-signs with the Inferno for her second consecutive season. She anchored the Inferno defense last year at center back. Plantive most recently played for ESOF La Roche-sur-Yon in the National 1 Division in France. She was also a member of the France U20 Women’s National Team making her first appearance against Sweden. In 2010, Alex competed in the U20 World Cup in Germany where France played against Germany, Costa Rica & Columbia.

“I’m really excited to join the Lancaster Inferno for my second season. Last year was great and I hope we can compete for the title this year. We hope to see a lot of people cheering us on this year again!”
 

Ashley Chilcoat

Ashley Chilcoat re-signs with the Inferno for her second consecutive season. Ashley was one of the leaders of the defense last season and also team captain. Ashley played for La Salle University and anchored the defense that won the Atlantic 10 Championship in 2012-2013. As a four-year starter and two-year captain, Ashley was named the A-10 All Championship Team and holds the record at La Salle for most games and minutes played in four years.

Ashley’s club career included time with 2 programs: FC York and FC Delco. She was a two-year captain for the EPYSA State Team, who was Region 1 Tournament Champions. She also played for the U-18 Select Region 1 Team that played in Russia. A graduate of Susquehannock HS, Ashley captained the team and was and 2-time Player of the Year, with 52 career goals and 35 assists for the Warriors.

“To be a member of the Inferno means an exceptional opportunity to cultivate a high level of Women’s soccer in Pennsylvania and provide a positive role model to young players. Personally, this team gives me the avenue to continue to improve in all aspects of my game. I am looking forward to another challenging yet exciting season with the Lancaster Inferno.”
 

Bailey Corbin

Bailey Corbin re-signs for her fourth consecutive season with the Lancaster Inferno. Bailey has played defense and midfield for the Inferno. As a junior at Nova Southeastern University, Bailey received all region in 2016. Previously a member of D1 USC Upstate, Bailey transferred to Nova SE to become 1 of 6 players to play in every game during the 2015 season, starting 7 of 18 matches. Bailey helped the team achieve a 2nd place finish in the Sunshine State Conference and their 3rd ever appearance in the NCAA playoffs.

As a four-year varsity starter at Lampeter-Strasburg HS, Bailey earned Pennsylvania All-State and All-Region honors, was named Section MVP, Female Athlete of the Year, MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. She was also a three-time Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 first Team All-Star. Bailey played for Penn Fusion of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).

“I have high hopes for this season. I believe this year we have the capability to seed number one and go further on post season. I think this is a truly great opportunity to have played with inferno for the past 3 seasons and am excited to begin my fourth.”
 

Kara Weller

Kara Weller (Macungie, PA) signs for her third consecutive season with the Inferno. Kara has plays in the midfield and is always a threat with her long throws. She played her collegiate career at Elizabethtown College. She was four-year varsity letter winner at Brandywine Heights High School in Mertztown, PA. Kara helped lead the team to states in 2009 and districts in 2010 and 2011. She also received an Honorable Mention in 2011 and All-Division in 2012. Kara played club soccer for FC Revolution.

“Having the opportunity to continue my soccer career beyond NCAA play has been nothing but rewarding. Lancaster Inferno has given me the chance to continue to learn and grow as a soccer player, along with providing guidance for growing teams, clubs, and players in the Lancaster area, teaching them the game my teammates and I have grown to love. I look forward to the start of the season and spending a third summer with Inferno doing what I love the most. I can’t thank the group that has given me this opportunity enough. I’ve been incredibly blessed.”

Siobhan Bross

Siobhan Bross re-signs with the Inferno for her third season, previously playing in 2013 & 2014. Siobhan is a senior at St. Francis University (Loretto, PA.) where she has been a 3-year starter. During her collegiate career, the team has won two NEC championships and earned all-conference and all-tournament honors. Siobhan is a two-year captain and will play her final season this fall for the Red Flash.

Siobhan was a four-year starter at Danville Area High School (Danville, PA.) and was named to the Heartland Atlantic Conference All Star Team in 2011 and 2012. She also earned all-state honors her senior year. She played club soccer for North Union United Soccer Club.

“I am very excited to continue my soccer career this summer with the Lancaster Inferno, I look forward to improving myself as a player.”

Traci Mohl

Traci Mohl re-signs with the Inferno for her second season, previously playing in 2014. Traci graduated in 2015 from York College, where she helped lead her team to the CAC championship in 2013 and earned the Gold Spartan Award.

Traci played at Lebanon Catholic High School (Lebanon, PA) where she was a first-team Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star and was named to the second-team all-county list. She played club soccer at the Capital Area Soccer Association (CASA CAPA).

“I’m honored to have been signed on with the Inferno this season; soccer has been my greatest passion in life and I’ve worked very hard to get to this point. I can’t wait to share the field and compete with players who feel the same. I hope to be an influential player for the Inferno this summer and to inspire girls everywhere to work hard in pursuit of their dreams and never give up on them.”

Trisha Clark

Trisha Clark re-signs with the Inferno for her fourth consecutive season. As a dominant center midfielder, Trisha, received UWS All-East Conference Honorable Mention in 2016. She was a four-year starter at Elizabethtown College where she was named First-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-Region in 2015. Trisha was also awarded Second-Team All-Conference in her previous 3 seasons, and was the MAC Conference Rookie of the Year in 2012.

As a member of Trinity High School in Camp Hill, Trisha was named the Mid-Penn Capital Division Player of the Year as a senior, the Patriot-News Big 11 and All-Sentinel Girls’ Soccer Team in 2012. She was also the Mid-Penn Capital Division First Team All-Star Midfielder as a junior and senior, scoring a team-high 19 goals, while adding eight assists in her final season with the Shamrocks. Trisha is an alumna of FC Pennsylvania Strikers, 2012 USYSA National Champions, 2011 national semifinalists, 4-time Region 1 champions, and 7-time Eastern PA state champions.

“I’m so happy to be back with the Inferno. It’s been a privilege being able to contribute to the growth of women’s soccer at this level, as well as having the opportunity to play alongside and against some of the best. I can’t wait to get started and get to work with the rest of the girls to get ready for this summer!”

Victoria Kramer

Victoria Kramer re-signs for her second season with the Inferno, previously playing in 2015. Victoria played for Millersville University, where she played in 51 games and scored 10 career goals.

Victoria was a 4-year varsity team member at Warwick Senior High School (Lititz, PA.) where she helped her team to the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section III Championship as a junior and as a senior, helped her team get back to the L-L League Final. She was named to the Lancaster-Lebanon League Second Team All-Star in 2012 and played club soccer for Penn Legacy & PA Classics.

“Signing with Lancaster Inferno is the next step in my soccer career. I’m excited to be back on the pitch playing the game I love at a highly competitive level with and against women who are passionate about the game. I hope to aid in leading this team to success this Summer and well into the post season.”

Aubrey Suydam

Aubrey Suydam signs with the Inferno as a graduating senior standout from Manheim Township High School. Aubrey was a four-year starter at MTHS, where she was named a Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star for two seasons. In 2015, her club team LDC United, was State Cup Finalists. Aubrey will enter her first collegiate season at Saint Francis University in Fall 2017.

“I’m very excited to be able to have this new opportunity and to see this help me improve going into my first college season!“

Brooke Myers

Brooke Myers signs with the Inferno for the 2017 season. Brooke played her freshman season at West Virginia University, the Big 12 champions/tournament champs & NCAA College Cup Runner Up in 2016. She is transferring to West Chester University to continue her collegiate career in Fall 2017. Brooke was a 4 year starter during high school and attended both Central Regional H.S. (2 years) & Middletown Area H.S. (2 years). As a 2-year captain, Brooke received Rookie of the Year, MVP, and was named All-Star First & Second Team. Brooke was a three-year member of the Penn Legacy ’97 Black team, which ranked No. 2 in Pennsylvania in 2014.

Emilie Kupsov

Emilie Kupsov signs with the Inferno as she prepares for her sophomore year at Longwood University. Emilie played 1,000 minutes her freshman year, the most minutes of any freshmen, and scored the game winning goal against Duquesne.

A 4-year starter and senior captain at Owen J. Roberts HS, Emilie had 65 career goals and 45 assists. She was Team MVP in 2014-2015 and earned All-Southeastern PA girls’ First Team (Inquirer). Emilie made All-Conference First Team, All-Area First Team, and earned the Team Golden Boot Award and Most Assists in 2013-2015. In 2012, she helped lead her team to the PAC-10 Finals and was All-Conference Second team and All-Area Second Team.

During her club career, Emilie played at four different soccer clubs, earning the most goals and assists while playing for FC Delco, FC Philadelphia, and FC Europa. Emilie was part of Olympic Development Program (ODP) from 2011-2015, attending the Region 1 European Trip in 2015, and also a finalist at the Mention Tournoi International DE Football Feminin (France).

Jordan Kamp

Jordan Kamp signs with the Inferno as she prepares for her sophomore year at Saint John’s University in Fall 2017. Jordan played 4 years of varsity soccer at Salisbury High School (Allentown, Pa), where she holds the record for most saves at 408 saves and 20 career shutouts. From 2013-15, Jordan was Colonial League First Team Selection, Morning Call All Area First Team Selection, and Defensive MVP. As a Senior Captain in 2015, Jordan was an All-American Game nominee & TopDrawerSoccer All State. Jordan was a 2-year captain at Continental FC Delco ECNL.

Kamp finished her career at Salisbury High School holding the record for the most saves in school history. Along with multiple defensive MVP awards, she was all so a 2015 All-American Game nominee. Jordan was a 2 year captain for her club team, Continental FC Delco ECNL.

Kelly O’Brien

Kelly O’Brien signs with the Inferno as she prepares to enter her Senior Year at Lafayette College, Patriot League Semi-finalists. In 2014, Kelly received Patriot League Rookie of the Week, and in 2015 led her team in saves with 32 total. In 2016, Kelly was Patriot Goalkeeper of the Week and second in save percentage for the Patriot League.

Kelly was a 4-year varsity player and 2-year starter at Perkiomen Valley High School. She was named PAC-10 All Conference Second Team her Junior Year. In her senior year, Kelly was named MVP and PAC-10 All Conference Team Honorable Mention. Kelly played club soccer for Reading Rage, who was the EPYSA state champion in 2014 and state cup semi-finalists in 2012-2013.

Maddie Schwartz

Maddie Schwartz signs with the Inferno as a graduating senior standout from Hempfield High School (Landisville, Pa). Maddie was a four-year starter and captain her senior year. She was a 3-time Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 All-Star, and was selected for the Big 11. Maddie plays club soccer for Penn Legacy, and will begin her collegiate career at McDaniel College in Fall 2017.

Megan Carroll

Megan Carroll signs with the Inferno for the 2017 season. She previously played for WPSL’s Hershey FC in 2015 and 2016. Megan played her collegiate career at Bloomsburg University, where she was co-captain her senior year. During her sophomore year, Megan tied for the team lead in goals. In addition, she earned Scholar Athlete honors and was the recipient of the Morrie Schultz Scholarship.

Megan was a 4-year starter and captain at Middletown Area High School (Middletown, Pa). She was co-captain for Hersey Crush (Hershey SC), where her team won the Disney International Cup in 2008.

“Since recently ending my college career as a Bloomsburg Husky, I am excited to continue pursuing one of my greatest passions in life. Signing with the Lancaster Inferno is giving me the opportunity to take my game to the next level by working with a group of talented and committed young players where we can provide a supportive yet challenging environment while we continue to grow and learn from each other as teammates.”

Moira Petrie

Moira Petrie signs with the Inferno for the 2017 season. She is a starting midfielder for the University at Buffalo. In 2016, Moira earned 2x player of the week, and was named to the ALL-MAC tournament team in 2015. Moira is a transfer from the University of Alabama where she saw action in 16 games her freshman year.
She was a 4-year starter and senior captain at Lower Merion High School, and was named team offensive MVP in each of her four seasons (2010-13). Moira was also named as one of the nation’s top players to watch in 2010, according to ESPN Rise Magazine, and was selected player of the year that same season. She played club soccer for FC Delco, and helped lead her team to the USYS Regionals in 2012.

“Being able to join the Lancaster Inferno team is an honor. To be able to learn from the experienced pro-am players and hopefully put into play is part of a dream come true. I’m looking forward to contributing to this team in any way possible.”
